Chiropractic Resolutions:

Once a year we sit back and reflect on our year. During this time is when we consider the mistakes, the things we would like to take back from the previous year, the things we should have done, and the things we need to do in the next year. Many of us have personal goals and professional goals. Today I am going to challenge you to make a list of your professional goals for the year and do a couple things but that’s for later. For right now, I want to make a list of ten things you need to do to make your practice better. Here is a list of things that may get you started:

1)      I need to start a patient of the week to really highlight on person each week and make them feel special.

2)      I need to get my office clean. With a new year comes a clean start!

3)      I need to make a new sign for my office the one I have is etched in stone, lol.

4)      I think it is time to finally lay off that employee that is away late, has no enthusiasm, and really brings down my practice.

5)      We as a practice absolutely need to have a team meeting everyday to make sure we are on the same page.

6)      My table is part broken I need to call someone for repairs.

7)      How is my dress code is it to loose. Should I be dressing nicer for my patients.

8)      What can I do to improve my patient flow? Do I need to buy a new computer? Do I need to finally buy that Soap notes system I’ve wanted?

9)      Have I taken the time off this year I need to rejuvenate my self?

10)  Last but not least I need to get out of my office and do a public talk, meet people, do more promotions, etc.

Once you have this list now its time to implement it. Here are the steps to a better your office:

1)      You MUST handwrite 3 lists.

2)      The first one goes on the mirror next to the sink you get ready in front of a night and in the morning.

3)      The second goes on your desk at work.

4)      The third list goes on your dashboard of your car.

If you do these key steps I guarantee one of two things will happen. 1) You will complete the list and get to take it down in a celebratory festival. 2) You will take it down and admit to yourself you actually don’t want to better yourself or your practice. I know you will do the right thing just have a little faith in yourself. Have a happy new year and I wish you the best.
