The Art of Chiropractic Marketing for New Patients
Here is the Key to Chiropractic Marketing:
Early in my career I had made a number of marketing mistakes in my chiropractic practice. Often when a marketing campaign fails in a practice the doctors say, "Oh well, lets move on". Now let me pre-frame this by saying I do not think that you should dwell on a failed marketing campaign but it is important to examine it. Look at the marketing you did and try to see what went wrong? Could you have done it better? Can the idea be save just change the tactics in which the advertising medium was applied.
Common mistakes that I and other chiropractors make is are as follows:
1) We do not put enough money into advertising. You should be putting at minimum 10 percent of your gross income back into marketing the practice.
2) Chiropractors may not be following up properly with new patients. If a new patient calls your office how long is it before they need to be seen? I truly believe that they should be seen in your office within 72hrs otherwise yous chance of that patient showing up decreases by at least 50%.
3) Do you only buy one food when you go shopping for food? Of course not. You buy different food groups, variations of food, and for different meals. Your chiropractic marketing should be the same. If you are trying to get a bunch of new patients you need to be running multiple advertising campaigns. Just like one day you may want to eat one thin and another you may want to eat something else. If a patient sees your ad it may not appeal to them, but if they see it somewhere else they may like it.
Chiropractors often think marketing is so hard but the truth is it is not so hard we just need to be trained to do it properly. That is why I often suggest people get a chiropractic coach for marketing. Because they do serious tasks for your practice which include: marketing, motivation, organization, and team building. A good coaching staff is a invaluable thing and not to be underestimated.
Sincerely,
Marketing Masters
